Walmart hosts more than 3500 superstore locations nationally. Though Walmart does not have a regular, weekly grocery ad, they still offer couponers some of the best prices around; keep in mind that prices vary by region.

Walmart can be a great place to coupon, when you combine an item on “rollback savings,” paired with a manufacturer coupon! Walmart’s price match guarantee, as well as their corporate coupon policy, which allows for “overage”, so you can even get paid for your purchase!

Here are a few tips to keep in mind while shopping at Walmart:

-Walmart accepts manufacturer coupons from the Sunday coupon inserts as well as printable manufacturer coupons.

-Coupons must read “manufacturer coupon” across the top, be legible, have an valid expiration date, cannot be duplicated, and must have a scannable bar-code.

-Coupons can be printed in black and white, or color.

-Walmart will not accept print-at-home Internet coupons that require no purchase.

-Walmart will accept competitors coupons for a specified item or price.

-Walmart will accept soft drink container caps for free products.

-Walmart will not accept coupons for cents or percentages off a whole basket of groceries, or double and triple coupon offers.

-Walmart will only accept one coupon, per item; you cannot stack deals.

-Items purchased must be the exact item listed on the coupon.

-You can redeem 40 coupons per person, per trip, and the value of these coupons cannot exceed fifty dollars in value.

-Walmart does not accept expired coupons.

-If coupon value exceeds the price of the item, the excess may be given to the customer as cash or applied toward the basket purchase; WIC or SNAP items purchased in a WIC or SNAP transaction are ineligible for cash back or application to the basket purchase.

-Walmart will not price match for percent off, private label promotions, free gift card with purchase promotions, or going-out-of-business sales.

-Walmart will price match product, dairy, meat products, and garden center items as well.

-Walmart does not require ads to be in-store in order to price match, but I highly recommend you always have you ad with you when price matching at Walmart!

-Walmart does not give rainchecks for items not found in store!

Apps like Endorse, iBotta, and Receipt Hog will accept deals and receipts for items purchased at Walmart.

-I recommend printing a copy of both Walmart’s Corporate Coupon Policy, as well as their ad-match policies, both provided below, keep them in your coupon binder, and take them with you whenever you shop at Walmart:
