Hello again, savvy savers! I wanted to end my weekly posts by bring the week to a close with a post about the reflections on this past week.
The highs for the week:
Finishing up two papers for Graduate School.
Making new friends on my blog.
Finishing two novels I had been putting off reading.
Losing two pounds.
Re-seeding my backyard.
Starting a daily devotional.
Putting out all of my St. Patrick’s Day decorations, on time.
My lows for the week:
The hard time I experienced couponing at Walmart yesterday; the old “purchase vs. transaction debate.”
My Great Pyrenees Puppy destroyed part of a new flower bed, then rolled in its wake.
General crankiness from a certain family member.
The end of this series (season as we call it in the US) of Downton Abbey!
My quote for the week:
“There are those who look at things the way they are, and ask why… I dream of things that never were, and ask why not?” – Robert F. Kennedy
My inspiration for the week:
According to the National Economics Counsel, “Women earned 45.1 percent of bachelor’s degrees in business in 1984, 50 percent by 2001, and 61 percent in 2013, up from only 9 percent in 1970.”
My humor for the week:
In my quest to bring snacks to my husband’s school, for tutoring and test prep rewards, I found Sponch, one of my favorite brand of cookies ( a cookie with marshmallow, raspberry cream, and coconut topping) for nearly nothing at my local Sam’s Club! While loading the Sponch boxes into my vehicle, I noticed that something had fallen onto my window while in-store, cracking my windshield, and in a moment of pure comedy my husband looks at me and says, “well, what the Sponch is that?” What could one do but laugh, and so we did!
This brings me to another awesome giveaway!
Leave me the most humorous moment of this last week, in the comment section below, as well as “like” our Facebook page, and follow us on Twitter here, and on 3/23 I will randomly select a comment, and one person will win a 24-pack case of Sponch!
Good luck, everyone!
